Wellpark, Galway
Edward Holdings assembled several green and brown-field sites on the outskirts of Galway City in the late 1990s. Construction began of a 33,000 sq m mixed-use scheme in 2003 and was completed in the Autumn of 2005.
The landmark development overlooking Lough Atailia, and situated on the main approach road to Galway from the East encompassed the construction of 101 residential units in a development named Sailin, the commercial development of the Wellpark Centre of 16,000 sq m of retail space, the development of Ireland's first luxury cinema in the EYE Cinema as well as the development of a five-star hotel.
